Qualification:
To qualify for this opportunity, you will have to complete a Personal Support Worker Program in Canada for 1 Year only.
Program Highlights
Unique inter-professional education course designed to strengthen collaboration skills as a member of the healthcare team.
42 hours of hands-on experience in Niagara College’s state-of-the-art lab facilities and 266 hours of clinical placement in both long-term care and community settings.
Graduate with 2 additional certificates:
Managing Food Safety certificate, offering unique culinary curriculum focused on food preparation; and
Gentle Persuasive Approach certificate focused on caring for individuals with dementia and other cognitive diseases.
Location: Niagara, Ontario, Canada.
Institution: This course is delivered by Niagara College, ON, CA.
Visa type: Study.
Work during program: You can work for up to 20 hours weekly while enrolled in the program.
Salary after program: CCAs can expect to earn a starting salary of approximately $15 CAD to $23 CAD per hour plus shift differentials.
Work Permits: You can apply for a work permit immediately after the program and start working. You are also eligible to apply for permanent residency after two years of working.
Dependents? Yes, you are allowed to travel with dependents.
Entry requirements: WAEC or NECO. No IELTS required. No previous health required. 21 years and above are eligible.
Start dates: May and September.
Tuition fee: $17,835 CAD; $ $9,535.95 CAD deposit required after admission offer has been received.
Application fee payable to school: $150 CAD
